Challenge
This contemporary 3 story home perched on the site. The owner, a New England native, wanted a highly textured garden that featured brilliant fall foliage, and one that would accomodate a tree swing used daily by the neighborhood kids.

Solution
We added arbors as a horizontal element and mid story trees and shrubs to further tie the tall building to the ground. A drainage swale was softened with grasses for the safety of swinging children. Brilliant fall color was ensured by planting a variety of maples, shrub dogwoods and grasses to add texture and movement.
